make sure when they arrive home you ask them about their experiences and for them to show you their pictures of their unique cultural experience in China.

Many thanks for allowing your sons, daughters, spouses, and friends to go on this trip. Thank you for all the support you gave them and gave Bridging The World.

2011 Camp Directors Meeting This Weekend

Summer Camps:

The 2011 Camp Directors meeting will be held this weekend in Lynchburg, VA. The Directors for all five camps will be there and will discuss some of the following plans for the camps: what lessons to teach, afternoon activities, evening activities, how to use the website for preparation for teaching, and we will also be sharing different ideas for use in the camps.

Be watching for emails from your camp director as to what your role will be in the camp in which you will be participating.

Two Winter Camps Completed

Summer Camps:

Bridging The World has completed two Winter Camps in Lynchburg, VA this past month. Families in the Lynchburg area hosted two groups of students from Shanghai and Shenyang.

During their time here the students participated in English class, tours of schools, a tour of the Frito-Lay plant, museums in the area, snow flex, ice skating, and a few days in Washington D.C

Winter Camp 2011

Summer Camps:

Today our first group for Winter Camp arrives. This is an opportunity for the Chinese students to visit the USA, live with a host family, experience life in America, and at the same time improve their spoken English.

BTW will be hosting a group from Shanghai for the next week in Lynchburg, VA. We will be doing a variety of activities -- everything from shopping to visiting local schools, and a tour of Washington D.C.

Hopefully we will have some pictures to post on the site after the Winter Camp is finished.
